Urban Plan of the Town of Haut-Madawaska | Last call to citizens!

Feb 14, 2025

Urban Plan of the Town of Haut-Madawaska | Last call to citizens!

For several months now, the CSRNO and the Town of Haut-Madawaska have been working together to develop a new municipal plan and zoning by-law that are uniform throughout the Town.

A survey was already sent to citizens at the start of the process, and citizen consultations have also been held.

As Council prepares to adopt these final documents, we are seeking your opinion and/or position on the following question:

“Would you agree with the installation of recreational vehicles throughout the entire territory of Haut-Madawaska, including vacant lots not served by municipal water and sewer services (including the areas surrounding the lakes Baker, Caron, Unique, Thompson and Glazier)?”
* Note that these recreational vehicle installations would still require approval from Public Safety for the approval of their sceptic system.
- Recreational vehicle: a vehicle intended to be used for leisure purposes, including motorized housing, camping trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, or tent trailers.
- Vacant lots: lots with no residential buildings.

Responses will be collected until February 28, 2025. The link to the survey is further down on this page. A paper version of the survey is also available at the Municipal Building - Quartier Baker-Brook.

Thank you for your civic involvement!
